My old man is looking to sell his tiger 90 (converted to a tiger 100) matching numbers ets and pretty mint but out of touch with its value. Anyone she’s some light to it’s originality and value? Unfortunately she is affecting his knowledge and I no nothing I’d these older bikes.

Thanks

What a sweet looking little bike :thumb

Great that it's a matching numbers machine and the fact that it's had a 500 conversion shouldn't hinder any sale unless the buyer is a complete anorak? :augie

£4500 to £5000 so ask £5300 :D

Thanks. From what I remember it’s immaculate and less than 10k miles. I had £5k in mind

The front hub and brake look wrong. The Tiger 90 only ever had a 7" SLS front brake and yours has an 8" TLS item. If fitted properly it's a very desirable improvement. See if your local library can find you a copy of Roy Bacon's Triumph Twin Restoration as it should help you spot significant changes from standard.
Uprating the engine from 350cc to 500 cc is straightforward but it has to come completely apart as the conrods are different to accommodate different gudgeon pin diameters. Again, no problem if done by someone who knows what he's doing.
It's a very tidy motorcycle. I'm completely out of touch with the prices these machines fetch so my only suggestion would be so skim the small ads at the end of a few magazines to see what's currently on offer.

Wow, just had a good skim through and will dedicate some time later. That is a serious amount of knowledge and time taken to compile that website.

Thanks a lot.

Nice n Fat

Is there a similar website for the 650’s?.... in particular the tr6?

That is a VERY detailed site for the 500’s, and I was hoping that similar existed for the 650’s Triumphs (especially the 63-70 years)

Thanks
