Hi All,
Have read all I can about brake warning lights in the FAQ pages and am now totally confused,
My problem is that, At start up, all checks done, ABS Red light on, Brake failure warning light on (yellow) drive off, both lights go out, never to show up again, all seems fine, park bike in garage until next ride,
Is it just me OR am I’m being stupid, Let me explain, my bike a 2011 MU is trapped in N Ireland in my son’s garage, an avid biker, and because of COVID i haven’t been able to get over to bring it back, it is going for MOT 10/04, I asked him to check it out for MOT, he has explained the above problems, after 2 ride outs (same thing) and I can’t help him because I can’t remember if this is normal, I do know the ABS light always lights then goes out after the bike moves,
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Every time the ignition is switched on, the check sequence starts again.
If the warning lights go out when the bike is ridden, all is well.

Warty100, thank you for the reply, makes sense, but for the life of me, I can’t ever remember seeing the big yellow “brake failure warning light” on before,
BTW brake caliper mounting bolts are 30 N*m or 22 ft*lbs.
