I’ve just set this up on my KTM, and will do the same for my Airhead adv bike when built.

The DMD software runs on a ‘rugged’ android tablet, and gives access to Waze, kurviger, OS maps or any other third party navigation. It also runs Apple Music, Spotify etc.

And it can edit and run a road book route as well.

All controlled from a small blue tooth controller on the bars.

Basically every a TFT screen should do without the proprietary lock outs. The nice thing is I can also use the tablet for day to day stuff.

Anyone else getting into this?

I briefly toyed with an AJP before going down the Husky route.

The PR7 has this set up out of the box (Thork are AJP agents I believe?). Anyway, to the point, check out AJP pages in FB etc for info.

I’m just finishing a KTM 530 travel bike build. I managed to find a Samsung Active and have started thinking about going down this road.

Tabnav,

Been using one for years :)

Tried a Nexus 7 as proof of concept, which was great, but on the hexhead, the charging method at that time wasnt the best

Moved to a galaxxy tab active for V2, which was great, but has some limitations

The OS is only android 5 so wont work with the Wonderlinq dongle, which is a bummer

The Tab active 2 is a later version of android, so should work with the Wonderlinq dongle

There are a lot of alternative front ends and software you could try

Myspin is another frontend that looks very intersting

I follow these threads on AVrider

It's mainly American based but very useful

I'll get some pics up of my setup sorted, as i'm doing a Porsoy shakedown run soon

Not just me then

I like that I can run maps, Waze, road book, kurviger, OS maps, all through the blue tooth remote. And it connects all my music and acts as a phone as well.

What’s not to like?

Nav6 is there just for a back up.

Useful links, thanks Santa.
