Swing Arm bearings

So with the ongoing renovations to Bertie von Bahnstormer, i got the swingarm off today in preparation of getting the rear sub frame off.

I noticed on the side without the swing arm i noticed that there was lateral movement in the bearing but if wasnt "crunchy"

Is this normal? Or should i just replace them anyway?

Further investigation reveals that the lateral movement is because these are tapered roller bearings and are supposed to do that.
