My Wife and I rode this route last weekend, Something I have thrown together on my iPad using Google Maps.
Some parts of the route I have explored on previous occasions, and others have become a game of "join the dots" for an added bit of fun. Turned out to be a cracking ride and Wifes favourite to date.
We set off at around 11:00am on a Saturday, yet we had minimal amount of traffic to deal with apart from a couple temporary Traffic Lights causing a minor tailback.
It is an excellent ride, in total takes around 4:30 hours to complete, without stopping and covering circa 140 miles. There are plenty of places (pubs, McDonalds) to stop for lunch or a hot drink. Or take a picnic like we did if you can't be bothered with booking a table due to the current circumstances. allow a good 2 hours for your breaks.
Large and spacious carpark at Graftham Water but, it become paid for. So if you are planing on staying beyond free 15 minutes, then Payment machines do take a card. However, bikes can squish past the entry barrier but not the exit. If you want to dodge the payment, you will have to exit via entry. Don't ask me how I know
Plenty of cracking roads with minimal traffic, but beware the pheasant and other wild life jumping out in front of you.
Route can be previewed and GPX file for your Nav device can be downloaded HERE
Have a great ride.
