I am getting a 1250 GS soon and would like to know if anyone has fitted a R1200/1250 RS Bmw topbox to their 1250 GS.I know a Vario top box fits the RS so seems possible?

yep i have a rs which also fits the xr small box on my 1250gs

Does the larger topbox (49 litres) fit straight onto vario mounting plates?

yes,but they are rare and ive been looking for an xr rs or gs large box! was one on an xr for sale here a while back but he wouldent seperate,shame the rt big box doesnt fit as they are more common
