is a 2008 1200GS TU non - ABS ?

No, unless it has had the snip.
I await other responses, some of which will be correct.

Here’s the definitive answer - The non ABS models are non ABS - The ABS models have ABS.

question as above :nenau

Is it a particular bike you are looking at. I would say if it has abs the button will be in the left handlebar cluster and it'll have an abs ring on the left front disc.
If it doesn't it has no abs.
When was the law changed that says all bikes have to have abs fitted. I'm not sure .
Or see steptoes consise answer above.

2016. Just looked it up so an earlier bike might not have it.

many thanks for the useful info above.

i'll check if there is an ABS ring

i assume that no ABS would also mean no traction control ?

put the chassis number of any BM you are considering buying in one of the various decoder tools before purchase, and see what toys it was built with and or had officially added

https://bimmer.work/ is getting the codes right, but bringing the car descriptions :blast
https://www.mdecoder.com/ this is working :beerjug:

in the good old days, you could type the Reg number into the BM used warranty site, get the chassis number and then go to etk and get an official BMW version. But they killed it all about 3 years back.... that way autotrader ads gave u everything....

unlikely..... a few ideas

never expect the internet to function correctly on a mobile or a tablet
nearly all websites just try to trick you in to clicking junk and spyware... go slow, read the whole page do as little as possible
in most cases an ad blocker calms the detritus, till the page almost makes sense - and then wait its NOT instant, it has to interrogate a big list of junk to find it
if you are ever over any limit - run ccleaner and clear the shite out of the browser (aka cookies of spying bloatware evil sickness - some get upset as you can clear login info and or the link to a page because you don't set up favorites correctly...), then turn off the PC, then unplug the router for 30 seconds, plug back in and wait 5 mins, reboot windows and its new day everyday

every internet user should do this every week as a min and every time you buy anything online.... otherwise without a great paid for VPN expect a nice Russian, Chinese or Indian to enjoy your life....
