    Nippy Normans p**s poor performance

Anyone else had shocking service from nippy Normans? Wrong part delivered, emails not responded to until the next day even if sent at 09:00. Phone line straight to answer phone. Facebook messenger said they will pass the message on to the sales team and can't help any further. Finally got a response and postage label to return incorrect part. Nearly three weeks now and still no part. Completely ignored by e mail and phone now and blocked on Facebook. No other option than to open a claim through PayPal. I'm at a loss for words at how bad this experience has been.

I have used Nippy Normans many times and always been pleased, however, you are not the first to complain.

Oh dear ... I have used them in the past and their service has been quite the opposite BUT times change and so perhaps has their customer service.

Nippy Normans are great in delivering items, much less so when there's a problem. I consider myself a very fair and honest customer, but when I had a parts problem with a pair of wunderlich winglets (a wrong component included) I got a half sarky email followed by a very difficult time in getting the refund.

The other thing about Nippys is that he won't accept anything less than positive reviews for the items he sells.

It's the case that the ease of ordering an competitive prices (including free shipping) does mean that I still use him occasionally. However, if I ever get a repeat episode that will be it for me.

In 20yrs of “investing” in Nippy Norman, I have never had an issue. I recently bought a brake extender for a GS rather than a GSA and it was refunded without fuss.

As indeed it should have been. I don't think praise is warranted for merely meeting their obligations.

I've used NN in the past and (like many reports on here) have had very mixed experiences. Sufficiently mixed that I stopped using them.
There can only be 11 and I'm one.

+1 also used them a bit, once or twice they were ok, when they got it wrong they were absolutely awful at owning the problem, communication was terrible, and when I did finally get to talk to someone...he was a cnut!

They do nothing that you can't get elsewhere. Same reason I don't bother with the arrogant sales cnuts in Alton anymore and do 120+ mile round trip to Wollaston instead.

Maidenhead brilliant, Alton (Sales) just about as arrogant as you could get, unless of course you want to spend a lot of money and then they'll suck your balls until they pass out.

If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, why would you be in the sales department at Alton?

FWIW I’ve always found them to be excellent - though I would put sales in third place, behind Alton service (2nd) and Alton parts (1st).
