Hi

I have just replaced the support bobbin at the end of the exhaust on my 1989 R100GS. When I took the left hand side cover off I found that it had been touching the silencer and part of it had melted.

It looks like there should be a couple of cylindrical rubber buffers in the raised plastic cylinders toward the bottom of the exhaust.

Any ideas for a neat fix welcome.

Motorworks sell them. I've just renewed all mine. Expensive for what they are but worth it as you have found out.

Hi Steve

I’m curious, what are those bars you have on your bike? My stock ones are bent and I am considering my aftermarket options.

Thanks, Denis
