1994 cali' 3

Took the side panel off, thought I'd check the relay first.

Took it off cleaned the terminals, not that it looked bad.

Put it back, worked..... for a short while. Relay is a good fit in it's relay base.

Played further..... I noticed that when I removed the relay it clicked. Also it was hot. My conclusion is that the relay is shot, I'll get another one anyway.

Ordered one from Gutsibits.

Rambling on now....... the relay clicked when I removed it, to me, this infers that the contacts were "made", in which case, I'd have thought the indicators would be on. Confusing myself now.

I checked all the spade connectors inside the indicators, as had a problem before, when one of them was loose. All was ok with them, pulled them all off, they were a snug fit and free from verdigris.

Hopefully new relay will cure it, otherwise.........

.

My old guzzi uses a standard old fashioned indicator relay available from any old fashioned car spares shop, at a good old fashioned price of around £3.

From a Fiat 128 I believe.
