I know it's short notice,, But Have been looking about hard for awhile using Google.but can't find a place to do so...

Snowdon, Brecon, out that way somewhere...

Any hidden gem you want to divulge to me...

Mike...

Not many that way - always the Golden Cups at Southerndown.
If not there's another a little further inland opposite the Farmers Arms pub at Pool Farm.

We were intending to get a fair way into Wales as in coming from the Bristol direction...

Pencelli castle campsite and camping. But you are right, busy time and the improved weather won’t help.

Skip that, minimum 3 night stay.

Have you considered wild camping?

Cheers Wessie,
I had already looked but it's full booked out till into September...

I'm not surprised. I've been out and about in the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean and the Welsh Marches of Monmouthshire & Herefordshire yesterday and today. There are a lot of people about.

Apart from a few day trips avoiding the tourist hotspots and using minor roads I am not going anywhere until late September. Hopefully get an Indian Summer and everywhere will not be so rammed.

Worth a call perhaps

That does look worth a call. I am thinking of scooting off to Wales with my tent for a couple of days in September and need a pitch next to a pub. Who knows, I might even get a bonus Hen party into the bargain.

We have considered this, but not same drinking beer out of a can...

Nant Peris, just outside Llanberis at the western foot of the Llanberis Pass.

Campsite is passable but the Vaynol Arms used to be a decent pub.

Also go to Pete's Eats in Llanberis for breakfast (if it's still going)

Due to unfortunate circumstances,i had to return home again..
The info i can provide is.
Water is non drinkable due to it being pumped up from the river..
Ground is clay..
Shower is a heath robinson affair.
Water is stored in ibc containors.(for shower 12 v battery and a gas boiler made in china)
Potaloo was clean non smelly,3 new rolls..
Pub no idea..
Toilets available 24 hrs a day in the pub..
Would not recommend...
