Is there any easy way to reset the fuel gauge? I’m not sure if mine is totally accurate or not.
Either that or the 850GS final drive makes me use a lot more fuel.
I used to get 200 miles from a tank but only getting 160ish now. Not great if you’re wanting to do big distances.

Well unless you've bent the float arm inside the tank, I can't see that the fuel guage would suddenly start reading differently. Is the 850 gearing lower? Even 200 miles isn't that great - I get 230+ (luggage, touring pace), 160 is hopeless.

Maybe the best thing would be to strap a gallon can on the back and ride it to empty to see what the true figure is.

Even Udders couldn't bend the fuel gauge arm while changing the final drive....or could he?

Do you really think I do my own spannering?
Mikeyboy does all that sort of stuff. I did have all the fuel tank internals replaced ( apart from the pump ) but I do suspect the 850 final drive is causing the extra fuel usage due to it revving higher.
The 1150 final drive is going back on as soon as it’s been rebuilt.
