Hi folks, I am looking to get back on the road after a few years away. I am looking to get an RT with a budget of £4000. I am seeing a lot of bikes in that price range, Is there anything i should be looking out for ? anything to stay away from. Im based in West of Scotland cheers Paul

at that price...I would go for a 2007 and onwards model as they will not have the Servo brakes (ie avoid 2004-2006 models)

Thanks for the reply, I ended up buying a 2006 on a 56 plate. The owner who had the bike had done a servoectomy? So it doesn't have the abs now as it has the kit from motorworks. I have always had older bikes so never had a bike with ABS so I dont know what I'm missing out on lol cheers Paul

those era RTs do present good value. the only niggle is the fuel strips are always malfunctioning (mine has had three), but if you reset the trip counter when you fill up, you will always have enough for at least 270 miles, hence no real need for a fuel gauge
