So, some more progress!
The engine is in, no real drama. The front end i dry fitted, just to ensure all was OK, then removed and painted the fork lowers. These are Ceriani forks and quite sought after, so a quick lick of Hammerite silver smooth and they look a whole lot better.
The front axle pin had a slight kink in it, which was quite easy to remove. I also had the hub in the lathe and spent a while with the solved autosol. Ive seen these polished to a mirror finish, not really the look i am after, its polished enough for me! The axle pin ''T' piece I drifted out and straightened, then took about 4 thou off in the lathe, it all looks very fresh now!
The speedo and headlamp are now in, as is the wiring loom. Timing now done and magneto fitted, and I've just spent about 3 hours straightening the pedal pin and pedal cranks. They look 100% better now and will definitely be good enough to fit up!
I have 2 new stainless rims, and have still yet to order the spokes, but im in no rush..
More to come!
