Military tour of the Baltic and down through Poland, Czech Republic, Serbia….

Terezin (Theresienstadt) in the Czech Republic should be on your list as well as Lidice (north of Prague) where the population was massacred because of a tenuous link to the RAF and the death of Reinhard Heydrich.

Whilst in Prague there is the church of St Cyril and Methodius on Resslova where the assassins of Heydrich met their end.

Operation Daybreak was filmed there.

Also.
Zeljava air base on the Bosnia/Croatia border is worth looking at.
There's quite a few old (abandoned/derelict) soviet missile bases in the Baltic states, at least one of them offers a guided tour but can't remember which one. We didn't bother, just had a ride around the remains of Keila Joa near Tallin.

There is little to be seen at the Treblinka extermination camp in Poland. However, the Auschwitz concentration camp is a 'must visit'.

But hey, ideas for your holiday are pouring in OP. Which way are your thoughts taking you? Got anything more roughed out yet, before you drown?
