Just found out the bike shop is reopening from tomorrow (Friday) and will have a cafe.

Thanks Gerry, did not know they had a museum, will drop in when on my travels and sample the cafe too.

Good news. Got to be worth a trip over...

Used to cycle past the original premises on the A6 in Milford en route to/from work in the '90s. The shop had long since relocated to Clay Cross High St. but IIRC there was still memorabilia in the window from Bill Lomas racing exploits
The new place, just off High St, looks a bit grim compared to the old stone one at Milford - but I bet it's great once you get inside. Family run business, cafe, museum and old bikes - what's not to like? I might even cycle across to help justtify the inevitable cake & coffee...

Went there on Friday, great welcome by the owner David and his wife who runs the cafe.
Have to say the coffee, quiche and cake were really lovely. The collection is small, but David was happy to talk about each bike, despite having a workshop to run. A visit there gets my vote, go on support the guys there and hopefully they will continue to open at weekends.
