Looking at buying some 2nd hand suspension setup for 14.5 stone rider plus 9 stone pillion plus luggage (14.5 - 25 stone range)

I'm 18.5 stone, will not be taking passengers.

Would this be a suitable upgrade from standard shocks? Replacement shocks are Wilbers

It should.

I would check the spring’s K (is it K?) number.

Really good guys and main agents for Wilbers.

I bought a Wilbers rear shock on Ebay for my Honda ST1300, and sent to back to them for service and respringing. Without doubt the best mod I made for the bike, so much so that I will replace the front and rear on my 2018 RT with Wilbers as soon as I save up the dosh.

Thanks for that advice. I’ve bought the shocks so before fitting I’ll see what needs to change

It isnt really the shocks that play an important role in working to your weight

Its the springs

AFAIK bike makers spring bikes to a standard which is about 90KG ( way to little for the modern era of bikers)

If you have Wilburn already and they are not foobared get them sprung correctly to your weight

as above speak to the lads at Revs
