A huge area that the latest edition of Motorrad Strassen has broken up into lots of jaunts, the GPX files for each being downloadable for free by putting the tourcodes into Kurviger.

I pick up the magazine (and others) via a monthly subscription to Readly.

There's some very good roads around there, so thanks for posting that.

I was in the Grand Ballon area in 2008 and had a great time. Won't be too far from there again in July, so will try to explore some of the roads on the western side of the area.

Cheers!:beerjug:

Thank you.

Whilst a lot of the routes are circular, it is maybe interesting to see:

A. Where to maybe stay on a crossroads, where several come close together.

B. How some can be used just to go from A to B to C to D, rather than riding around the loop.

Thank you for this.
It really is a beautiful area. I was there by accident in March & will certainly be going back deliberately sometime.

off to Monchau beginning of June cant bloody wait, its been way to long

Fantastic area, great roads, great food. Thanks for the routes.

When the individual tourcodes are pasted into Kurviger, the routes download really well. Here is a sample, using Route 1:

B. In BMW’s Connected app

C. In MyRoute

All done using nothing more than my iPad and iPhone.

As is not uncommon though, you can see where the original creator of the route either went to see something, stopped for an illicit liaison or just went wrong:

Thanks for that Richard, group of 4 of us travelling through Germany in May en-route to South of France so will check out the routes.
Your point re transit rather than tour is spot -on, we'll be getting to the routing in the next couple of weeks.

Welcome.

The more I look at Germany (and having ridden right around it) the more I realise how much I have ignored big areas of it. Most of my ventures have been restricted to the western side, basically stretching from the Harz to the bottom of the Black Forest. But even then, there are lots I have missed out in between. Reading a book, I realised that I had never been to Ulm, for instance. For some reason or another, I now have a strong desire to go there. It was going to be Kiev but the cnut Putin has buggered that idea but my problems are a tiny splinter compared with the troubles that the people of that country are having to endure.
