Drive shaft gone at 56k - 2007 R1200RT-P

This “rear hub” you’re talking about, do you mean the rear brake disc flange. I’ve a genuine bmw removal tool, a work of art and only a minute to remove the flange :D

Ok, don't rub it in I have already pawned my mum to get the parts I need.

I don't know if the 2008 onwards GSA and the RT use the same driveshaft as the 2007 bikes. A check of online parts fiche would soon tell.

I have a spare driveshaft stored away somewhere in my garage from my old 2008/9 1200GSA MU, I swapped it out at 18,000 miles during a clutch change as I felt a tiny tight spot on one UJ knuckle, but it is still serviceable and could be rebuilt by Mikeyboy if it was necessary.

If you get stuck and want to buy it drop me a message.

Thanks Puk, I have purchased the re-buildable new one already. Sat on my kitchen table waiting for everything else to fall into place.

Hey guys new to the forum, is there anyway to check which driveshaft my bike is without taking the drive shaft out?

It’s failed at 60000 miles, only had the bike a few weeks.

It’s a r1200rt 2008 and on the v5c it’s a 0368 A variant.

Hoping to find one that’s less than the £685 BMW asking price 🙈
