Centre Stand

The frame lugs for the centre stand on my R75/6 are oversized, a 12mm tap rattles in it.
Without removing the engine does anybody have a fix? My first thought was to have the holes welded up and then I would drill out tapping size for 10mm.
I thought a question on here might get an alternative solution.

A longer bolt with a thin locknut might work? I know there's not much space there.

Having just done a frame with the same problem ( oversized centre stand holes ) I found it easiest to weld them up and drill and tap them.
This was a bare frame so was no problem, but still the best alternative.
