We're heading to the South of France on Sunday, then across to Barcelona for the motogp

following on with our trip, here are a few more pics from in and around the the Drome region, we did around 6 smallish cols today not many miles but started at 9am and finished at 5pm so that gives you an idea of the type of roads they were, and also the stops for food and pictures that eat into time. i will post a pic of the route we took for those interested.

so back to the trip, we have been staying in Sospel for the last 3 nights, having a meander around the bottom of the RDGA and down to the Med coast, the ride from Montbrun to Sospel was a great run down using part of the route Napoleon and the d202 (great road) and then over 4 very small and tight little cols over to the bigger col de Braus into sospel.
the question now was where to next, so we have decided to go to Corsica the trouble is the sailings from Nice and Savona are full for the next 3 days, so we have managed to get a sailing from Toulon to Bastia today, sailing at 20.00 tonight, so thats where we are heading today.
A few pics from in and around Sospel below.

So we have eventually made it to Corsica, first off we had the 5 hour journey from Sospel then we had the 3 hour wait to board the vessel, and then the 11 hour overnight sailing from Toulon to Bastia, a great crossing i may add all for £120.
So we now find ourselves camping at Camping E Canicce on the d147, a pleasant campsite with pool, if a tad expensive compared to the others we have stayed at, it works out at 25 euro per night so not to bad.
Not done much today due to no sleep on ferry as we could not get a cabin and had to doss oin the reclining seats. But what we have seen of the place so far is all good.
pics below.

Looking good. Interested to see & hear a bit about Corsica
Hope the foot is healing :thumb

Sorry for the late reply but been without the internet, so with out further ado, to answer the above question, Its fabulous but do not expect to get anywhere to quickly, roads vary from the sublime smooth and fast flowing to the stupidly narrow bumpy and very steep nadjery goat tracks. as for the place the east coast is more flat and with many beaches and the west sort of rises up out of the sea and into mountain cols, there is plenty to see and do but you must have transport to see it. a selection of pics below from around the north east and central of the island.
