Just a recommendation for this gem.
Great place to pitch your tent for a couple of days on the Llyn peninsula, North Wales.
Not much here, just a shower block, but the location is stunning.:thumb2

OK for CamperVans?

I met my wife there at a beach party 38years ago. Hells Mouth seems like a very appropriate place name :D

Looks like a nice place; i did'nt know there was a hells mouth in N Wales;:beerjug:
This is the only hells mouth i've known ; that's all that's left of the ship wreckage that can still be seen; my mate tells me the locals helped to get all the crew off after they fired lines to the stranded vessel before it broke up on that particularly evil night;
Here's a bit more info;
There's a nice little cream tea cafe at the side of the rd we always visit when down there;:D

Porth Neigwl (Hells Mouth ). Wikki “Porth Neigwl is said to be like a broad open mouth in the relief of south Llŷn. The name "Hell's mouth" was given for that reason and because of its danger to sailors in times of storm, with great waves and a lack of shelter.”

I have seen it really horribly rough, whereas Abersoch , just around the corner , is sheltered from a fierce south westerly.

It's a mixture of campervans and tents.:thumb2
My neighbour this morning. He's from Cornwall and likes it here because it's a lot quieter this time of the year than Cornwall.

It also sounds like an appropriate place to meet the mother-in-law.:D

Stu, have you spotted any dinghies yet?

Nothing doing at the moment but I have a portable maritime radar, 30x binoculars on a tripod and the beach has been mined.:D

Just in case anyone does turn up, walk onto the beach with a bottle of Ricard, and say in your best schoolboy French "Bienvenue en France" that'll confuse them as they then head off for Ireland :D

That looks great Stu, nice to find a little corner of quiet :thumb2

Not anymore

But the Text is doing a handstand :blast
