Can anyone help me with finding these please for a tracker
Gs1250 2022 model

Live wire
Earth wire
ignition feed wire

Sorry I’m new to the bike only had in just over a week

No need to apologise.

Take a fused live from the post above the battery - it's got a red cap covering it. The earth wire is easy in that you can use a ring terminal under any metal screw fixed to the chassis, or straight to the negative terminal on the battery. Finally, you have options on the switched live - either something like a Hex ezCan, which may be useful if you want to add further additions, or tap into the loom under the seat where the 2 fuses are - I've done this twice now, but believe there are easier fittings now to avoid the need to tap in to the wiring.

Since OP is new to the bike, it may perhaps be worth mentioning that if tapping ground from any screw connected to the chassis, the screws are equipped with a very thin, clear nylonwasher. It's almost invisible, but prevents making a proper ground connection. The washer is easy to remove from the screwhead using a sharp knife. But unless it is removed, the ground connection will be rather unreliable..:aidan

I used the feed for the rear light(grey?) as an ignition switched feed when I put in a PDM 60. I used a positap connector which as neat as anything...

Me to apologise. I thought you were trying to establish the location of the factory fitted tracker. New member, yadda, yadda. Hope you get sorted.

why would you need a switched live as surely you want the tracker live 24/365?

When the ignition is on the bike is powering the tracker and topping up the internal battery, when it's off it uses the internal battery - which on my BikeTrac lasts for at least two months.

If you only had a permanent live, a simple battery disconnection would kill the tracker - and I'm assuming (rightly or wrongly) the internal battery cannot be on 'charge' permanently?

That's my theory...

I believe that if you are not able to find those 3 wires at your bike, it is better to not touch it. It is preferable to go to a specialist.

The tracker has built in battery that lasts 14 days and has charger on bike when not in use so will have power when needed

I’ve got a hex ezCAN for the K2 camera I could use that for the switch live I guess

thank you ill try this

my local dealer wouldnt if the biketrac as it come off my old bmw s1000xr dont know why but said they couldnt

I doubt any bike dealers will touch trackers once installed, I believe you have to have any tracker professionally fitted with a certificate of installation for your insurance company. I have the BMW approved Datatool Scorpion tracker on my bike, Datatool issued me with an updated installation certificate as I was not the bikes owner when it was fitted, obviously I had to pay an annual subscription to activate the tracker.

I have had issues with its tracking accuracy and was informed by Datatool that the unit has a weak signal, I could happily relocate the GPS antenna myself but I was informed l that by touching it myself it could invalidate my cover so BMW are sending a mobile alarm/tracker agent (RS Communications) under warranty to sort it for me.

Fit it yourself. They're not difficult and you just change the bike details on the portal.

Mine is in a garage at the moment and the BikeTrac portal is showing it no more than 2 metres from the garage door.

They also told me they'd be happy to confirm to any insurer, the history, and the fact that it was a fully functioning tracker at the time of theft.

The original (authorised) installer fitted it in a not very secure place. When I changed bikes I fitted it to where BMW fit them now - not that they were fitting trackers at the time.

Of course, as they make very little (if any) difference to your policy you might not want to declare it's fitment. I also use a roadlok in the garage and that too is not declared - just in case I forget to set it.
