Don't know what you have planned Chris but if you've time the village of Zaanse Schans, a bit south of Den Helder is worth a visit....several working wind mills, one of which is a working saw mill and worth a visit. Also Volendam again SE of Den Helder, on the shores of Markemeer is a nice village...plenty of cafes etc possibly boat trips, a cheese factory....quite pretty...

There is a Submarine that you can look round at Den Helder, last time we were there we were looking through the periscope and saw an actual submarine passing. 
Nice little ride out before breakfast. Hickling broad, Sea Palling, Happisburgh, Wroxham, Horning and Potter Heigham.
Today's itinerary. Drop my Mam & Jayne in Norwich. My Mam needs some new bras. And then take my Dad for a Doctors appointment.
Not on the bike I might add.

We had a static caravan a few minutes up the road from the bridge at potter heigham.
