Don't know what you have planned Chris but if you've time the village of Zaanse Schans, a bit south of Den Helder is worth a visit....several working wind mills, one of which is a working saw mill and worth a visit. Also Volendam again SE of Den Helder, on the shores of Markemeer is a nice village...plenty of cafes etc possibly boat trips, a cheese factory....quite pretty...
