Bounded by the Moselle-Sarr and the Rhine, the Hunsrück region is pretty popular.

Here are two jaunts, courtesy of Motorrad magazine, edition 15 - 8/7/2022:

Both GPS files download well (and for free) from the Motorrad site:

The site translates well from foreign into English.

Position yourself between the two routes (say in or around Masterhausen Kirchberg or Simmern) and you could ride them, either in one long’ish day or over two days. Instant holiday.

Some brilliant riding there
Ridden that area dozens of times, mostly with Micky

Some gems of roads through the wooded areas around Simmern and then leading out onto arable fielded hills above the 2 rivers and then dropping down steep sided slopes of vineyards, down to each river

Only spoilt by the massed ranks of the wind turbine industry.

Yep. Some lovely roads there. I will be there again the first week of September for the Winefest in Bernkastel-Kues, which is a super place to stay for a few days.

This is an excellent hotel that I have stayed in several times. Superbly located, new, excellent owners, secure parking, etc....

Nice one Richard. My favorite weekend jaunt from NL. Not shown here but if you head west / North West of the Cochem area into the Eifel area also fantastic roads
