A 2010 Ultra Classic which has served me mmm/err well since buying it new.
While somewhere in France during my 35 day tour, the bikes engine light came on and subsequently it went into limp mode for the first time.
On a lonely country lane, I just checked the oil levels and added some engine oil as it was low. After which it started, light went out and I carried on. No problems for the rest of the trip and the journey home up north from Poole ferry.
Two weeks later it happened again this week while shuffling along close to home.
I believe you can do a diagnostic check via the handlebar switch controls (will check out Utube).
One other thing of note while riding in Spain/Portugal in +30°C weather, is that I saw oil mist from the open air filter housing wetting between the push rod covers.
Maybe the oil return breather in the cylinder heads are partially blocked.
Any comments?
