Going to clean out the carbs on my R80G/S , replace the "O" rings and diaphrams.

Both Motorworks and Motobins are offering diaphrams made in " HYDRIN " , the originals are available but much more expensive.

Just wondering if anybody has used the " HYDRIN " ones ?

Is there any difference from the originals ?

Do they work as well?

Any comments about your experiance appreciated .

Thanks

How much are the originals from BMW I wonder?

Motobins Hydrin re-build kit for bing 32 carbs £23.40 as opposed to £59.10 for original. I used these on my ST last Winter and so far have performed as well as original. The choice is yours.

Ok thanks for the feedback , they just seem so cheep compaired to the originals . But glad to hear that they worked ok

No guarantee the BMW kit is made by the original supplier anyway.
Hydrin kits are probably Stromberg items from the Amal folks, used to be real cheap but who knows what the are now.
Some claim they are a little stiffer so they might richen the mixture slightly, which can be beneficial.
