Just booked 3 nights on the Isle of Arran over the August bank holiday, it’s going to me and my mate MTB/EMTB holiday :D can anyone recommend any good trails? Nothing too adventurous please

Here's a photo of Arran to wet your appetite (taken from the Kintyre Peninsular last June).
It's also on my 'places to visit' list but not on a MTB/EMTB.:D Will watch this thread with interest. Have a great trip.

Sunset over Goat Fell last night

I did the most massive jump/ wheelie off a crest somewhere on the north west coast of Arran. Scared the shit out of me. It’s my main memory of Arran. Can’t see it bring a problem on an eMTB really.

Cycled round the coast from Lochranza, over the string and back round on an MTB some years ago. That was enough for me and Magnet. Nice tea room at Pirnmill I recall.

And the little sandwich shack near the ferry terminal does lovely butties :thumb

Think that may have gone as there is now a brand new ferry terminal building and the entrance to the terminal has also moved.

Looks like this now … I’m sitting waiting for the next water taxi

Mr Shakey is referring to the Lochranza ferry at the north of Arran, it’s definitely still there as I ride past it about 4 hours ago. Top nosh.

Mr Blacknblue however is in the eastern metropolis of Brodick, long on shiny ferry ports, short on decent sandwich places.

Looks like a public convenience, happily the sandwiches are much better than the building would suggest!
