Picked the bike up yesterday, hadn't seen it in the flesh so to speak, can't believe the condition, not far off immaculate and very happy, great addition to the stable

I then had a 4 hour ride home in searing heat!!.... i had read the suspension needs sorting!! and after 4 hours in the saddle i couldn't agree more.

As I suspected it was a low version, from the pictures on the sales web site i could see the front forks had been popped through the yolks about 20mm. Not concerned about that as i wanted to upgrade the rear shock anyway, i'll raise the front back to full height and put new springs in and upgrade the rear with a full height Hyperpro.

The dealer has put a new chain and sprocket and new tyres on before i collected! The service history is full main dealer and in this condition well worth spending a few quid to get it to how i want it but and Ill do my own maintenance from now on.

I will need a side stand and centerstand if anyone has anything for sale. For the side stand According to the Real OEM Part 46537723019 was found on the following K72 vehicles:

K72 (F 650 GS, F 800 GS), F 650 GS (0218,0228), N/A, , EUR, (0218) : Side stand

I'm also after a touring screen as it's mainly for commuting.

If any one knows of any other compatible F800GS stand past let me know as that broadens the search, :bow

Cracking looking machine - happy riding days ahead :thumby:

I have a center stand from a post 2012 F8GS going spare if thats of interest?

Not subscribed, so not able to message you, but I can get a man local to me to sort that when he returns from his extended riding holiday in europe (couple of weeks at least before he makes it home).

Cheers Steve - the sounds encouraging - i have looked at the Real OEM the centre stand part number for the 650 shows as also being used on K72 800GS 2006 to 2012 so i think it should fit. Does it have a part number on it? Time-wise I'm in no rush so i can wait to hear from you on the return of your travelling man.

Real OEM for the 650GS Twin
46527723219 (part number)
Center stand

46527700864 (03/01/2008 — 08/14/2009)
Part 46527723219 was found on the following vehicles:
K72 (F 650 GS, F 800 GS)   (10/2006 — 06/2012)

Cheers. :dragon

Not able to find any numbers on the stand.

The 2012 onwards center stand differs from the earlier version in that it has legs and not just bent tubes. I had it on a previous early F8GS so I know it fit earlier machines (including the F650Twin model).

When "my man" returns I will ask him to message you and we can take it from there.

Pay the £12 and you can message to your hearts content ;) ;)

Tis eye I had a F650 like yours, I also raised the forks through the headstock. Later I had Wilbers lower the bike properly using a Wilbers rear shock and progressive fork springs.

Throughout all this I had the same side stand, sure when it was lower it stood up more, but as you lift your bike the existing side stand mY still be ok. If it isnt fit a “puck”. You can do this whilst you seek out a mainstand.

Motorworks used to break a lot of F Twins, they may be worth a call

I'm just about to list a few F650GS parts for sale including a screen, I've sent you a PM

Tank ring, tall screen and bash plate fitted along with my tank bag off the XR and my Enduristan pannier bags, next job is to fit a standard height shock as I bought it already lowered but looking every bit the perfect “commuter scooter”
