Givi Dolomiti cases

I have my eye on a Gen 1 S1000XR and I am wondering in my Givi Dolomiti cases and top box will fit. I have checked the Givi site but part of it says just the Trekker cases while another part says the Dolomiti cases will fit using the PL or PLO racks. Anyone able to throw some light on this? I really would like to keep my Dolomiti cases.

I have both Dolomiti and Trekker cases and switch between the two. Both fit on the Givi monokey chassis which is available for most bikes, should be readily available for the XR....Check Givi's website to be sure.

I have the standard Monokey, quick release rails on my 2016 XR. I use E21 boxes but if #2 is correct, you should be fine

just checked the Givi website and it seems they no longer do the PLR5119 kit I bought, and is out of stock at https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/299251

they only do the CAM kit for the Outback panniers now, feckers.

try searching as someone such as https://www.nativeviking.com/ might have a set - he has an ebay store as well. Best UK source of Givi stuff. I ordered the kit for my 2016 bike from this firm in Italy in 2018 but of course, more complicated now https://www.accessorimotostore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1537_762_764_7425 - only the CAM kit anyway.

I had a similar problem for my R1200RS as Givi does not make the standard Monokey rails. Solution: buy the SW Motech Evo rails and the Givi adapter kit. Cost more but now I can now use my E21 or K40 Monokey panniers on both bikes.

I recently fitted a GIVI box on my RS using an adapter plate which screwed straight on to the OEM mount.

I think I’ve gained 16L as the box is cubic rather than pretty.

yes, the SRA5119 Monokey topbox plate is still available. That takes about 10 mins to fit once you realise it is just a case of removing the little metal plate in the centre of the OE rack to access the main bolts.
