I think most people are aware the brakes on these bikes are virtually non-existent if the servo fails.

Has anybody removed the servo and can tell me what the brakes are like with the servo (and associated plumbing) out of the equation?

2005-2006 R1200RT.

Thanks.

Good But I tend to fit Ferodo platinum rear pads as the standard ones are quite hard and you lose feel with the OEM ones

When I bought my RT with no ABS I was concerned after coming from all singing and dancing GSA. I’m three years in, used all year and honestly the brakes work as they should.
Not missed the ABS at all.
My only gripe for me is the blooming levers are too long!

Thanks chaps. It was a bike on eBay that appeared to be missing the abs and servo. Seller couldn’t / wouldn’t/ didn’t give any straight answers and seemingly didn’t have a clue what had been done to the bike so I steered clear.
Thanks
