Munich is a popular enough destination, particularly for anyone looking for a ‘fly-ride’ holiday where they rent a motorcycle for a few days.

These two jaunts, courtesy of Motorrad magazine 01/2023 , might help someone to have an instant holiday.

The routes as a GPX file download well from the magazine’s site:

https://www.motorradonline.de/reise/motorrad-tourentipp-oberbayern-zum-ahornboden-woerthsee/

If anyone does the upper route I would recommend stopping at the Kloster Andechs its a monastery brewery which does food and you can eat in the big open courtyard or cellar - https://www.andechs.de/en

With great views of the area and there should not be any trouble parking. Also motorhome Stelplatz.

Oh yes the beers good.

A most beautiful part of Europe. Some very friendly and helpful folk too.

Cheers for the upload. Will be useful for my trip to Europe later on this year.

Lovely part of the world. Would be nice to stop in the area for a couple of days before heading into Austria and beyond - the road from Tegernsee, over Achenpass then down past Achensee to Jenbach is a great road. Steam railway from Jenbach to Achensee, goes up a steep incline using rack & pinion.
Then head down to Zell am Ziller, over the Gerlos pass to Zell am See and you are at the top of the Grossglockner.
