Somewhere a bit more unusual than going to the Black Forest or the ‘ring again, just because everybody else goes there.

Just off that route is the Kyffhäuserdenkmal mit Kaiser Barbarossa monument well worth a visit, also the curvy bit of road you see just above where it says bad Frankenhausen on Richards post is possibly one of the finest bits of tarmac you could ride, but avoid at weekends due to it being treated like a race track.

Yes Richard, and there is a really nice cafe there so you can get a little refreshment if you so wish.
We visited it whilst in the Harz region before moving on to Prague then Poland.
