Good Morning!!

So sadly the keys to my bike were stolen from a place where one could easially locate the bike (Without giving too much away).

I've had the bike transported to a location where they cannot be found.

My garage have quoted me £600 +VAT to replace the keys with new ones.

Is anyone aware of a cheaper better way of doing this, I've seen key sets on eBay but they're about this price anyways...

Unlikely, but worth asking!!

Thanks,

Lewis

Just to add:

Spoke to the garage now, and the owner said they're of the opinion not to change the locks, given the value of the bikes, Vs the cost of doing the keys.

To instead spend big bucks on better secondary locks, on the basis that if someone had wanted to steal that bike before, they'd have cut the locks and pushed it in the back of a van, cutting the locks being the hard part.

Have you tried your nearest BMW dealer? A chipped key for a 2013 RT cost me £60. All I had to do was produce my V5.

Thanks Pete,

It's as much getting the stolen key 'deleted' as anything, if that's possible.
