I’ve only done 270 miles on my awesome new steed and both times it’s pished it down and the bike is now covered in the finest shit and blather that Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire roads can throw at it…:blast:mad:

It’s not just the usual muck on the lower half of the bike though…it’s blathered all up the rear and pillion seat, grab handles and my boots and lower legs. I’ve never had a bike that gets this filthy.

Anybody got any cures for this please?

Tar and feather me if you wish….but I had wondered if the spray guard shovel thing that attaches to the FD on a GS might cure it:nenau assuming it can be fitted to the RS. Not sure if it’s got the mounting holes actually.

Everyday

I dont think I've seen a dry road for weeks. Getting ridiculous! Weekends are for cleaning....

After 50 miles today.....

Fit some spray suppression flaps, or sell it and buy something else.

That’s nothing, try riding a KTM Duke. I even have to wipe down my helmet after a mucky ride. Ps guess where they put the regulator rectifier, yup correct under the mudguard in direct line of fire with the road spray

A mudsling will help some what. The other option is the frame fillers to cover the gaps below the pillion seat to prevent further spray from being flung forward.

Mine is minging too after 300 mile round trip this week.
Mudsling is very useful….

The shovel doesn't achieve anything on the GS so I doubt it will make any difference, even if it will fit. On my 1200GS the biggest difference to the crap it threw all over me was made my fitting a centre-stand plate and a blanking plate on the pillion footpeg hanger on the non-exhaust side...
