Mapsource For Dummies: Part One - Files & Waypoints

Via Michelin

For route planning, you could also try Via Michelin, it's got some good route planning features, including motorcycle and scenic routes.

Just a point from a relative novice at this sat nav waypoint stuff, BaseCamp seemed way over complex - if I'm plotting my way across Europe along a complex route on MapSource by setting waypoints as I go along the map route, I find it best to add a sequential number to the waypoint's title so that when I ask for the route to be made I just enter the waypoints in the correct number sequence.
If you want to go back and add in a waypoint into the route you can make it the next back waypoint number + an 'a', 'b', etc
I fully expect this to be a numpty way of doing it but it works well for me and avoids getting the sequence mixed up.
