Of course not, the 1200 has ceased production.:rob Unless you're talking about the GSA, but I wouldn't hold out hope for another special edition of those.:blast But if you're taking about the new 1250, they haven't even showed it to the public yet, so guess a special edition is a while off yet.:rob

They'll keep producing special editions as long as there are mugs to buy them.

So in answer to your question ... yes there's bound to be something on the cards.

They've kind of shot themselves in the foot by ceasing production now on the GS with no more GS 1200 untill the watercooled one arrives in 6 months time :blast

I'd have thought a run out GS 1200 named the 'Classic' may have been in order :augie

But they are still selling them here and the specials http://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/motorcycles/enduro/ :comfort

maybe they have a huge stock pile :nenau

.

Put enough available funds in my hands and I will gladly be one of those Mugs :thumb:D

A lot of car models when coming to the end of the run do a special like a Finally so to speak maybe its just that in standard form :bow

I have a tranny and He-she's fully loaded :nenau

It does seem rather odd:rob

They've left the 1200 on the website for reference only, but all 1200's are now sold, bar 4 or 5 unregistered ones held by Park Lane BMW:rob

Are you sure about that because the only thing missing apparantly is me :D

Here:

Surely the mighty BMW is not advertising something that it does not have :nenau

what you would have thought is that until the new model is launched and on the website for sale then there would be a slight overlap of the old model :blast

Just like arrival of the F700GS :D

thus a continuation of sales with no dry spell or switch off of sales, with of course some insentives to by the older version such as the link I posted above, If you follow my drift :D :beerjug:

Trippy's just talking shit...........(weird that:rolleyes:) You wouldn't be a mug to buy the last of the 1200's, you'll probably get a better deal with more thrown in. If someone wants a 1200, now is probably the best time to get one:rob

Quite right :thumb

Special Edition models are only parts bin specials designed to use up any bits left over .....

:beerjug:

Agreed ............... except there aren't any left :blast

There will be plenty left,I'm sure they have planned production and know what demand still exists. There is no way a company like BMW would put themselves in a position where they can't sell there best selling model for 6 months, because they didn't make enough:nenau

I was in Vines today, and there really are none left (we looked on the BMW UK mainframe), other than the ones than Park Lane have allocated. It seems very odd I must admit, maybe the 1250 is much closer than they're letting on?:nenau

Maybe they just want you to sign up for the new model, which would be even odder because they couldn't tell you when you can have it:blast

If so I Bet Triumph are pleased :toungincheek

Maybe a sign of the times they will want people sleeping outside the dealerships next to hype up the media coverage of the sales :blast anyone going to the Tosser VineRaosting :nenau :augie

I'm with Johno's thinking with this :thumb2 Have you tried asking at another dealership as It's hard to beleive but it true, it's :loopy :beerjug:

They weren't trying to sell me a 1200 as mine is only 6 months old, it was just one of these conversations, as I'd read on here that they had all been sold.

Says on the official press release that an SE (special edition) version will be available on the new 1200gs
