I havean 04 1200 with Remus headers, Akrapovic slipon, Wunderlich air intake, K+N filter and Power Controller.Controller is set up for Remus headers, Remus Revolution can and Blue filter.Bike runs a bit strange last 2000 rpm to red line,as if it could do with a bit more fuel.This could be due to the engine getting more air?It's a bit hard to read the lights on the controller for full throtle as I live on a busy island with a 35mph speed limit.Over to the SW of UK at end of month and wonder if any readers have the same kit on their beast and what settings they have dialed in?Bike runs smooth and mid range is much improved,if a bit loud with baffel removed.Thanks in advance for any info.:thumb :beerjug:

Settings

For a R1200GS fitted with Blue air filter, Remus sport header pipes and Remus Revolution silencer we (as in Wunderlich) have determined the following settings.
Green:1 /
Yellow=4
Red=4
Blue-green = 3
Blue-yellow=6
Blue-red = 6
Values may differ from bike to bike
Assumption is made that bike has been properly serviced before Performance Controller was fitted.

Sorry I was wrong in my previous post (which I've removed to save confusion). - see Wunderlich Web-Page - http://www.wunderlich.de/manuals.8530120_eng.pdf

With Performance Headers, Exhaust, and Air Filter (blue or K&N I guess) the recommended starting point for the settings are:
Green = 1
Yellow = 4
Red = 4
Blue-Green = 3
Blue-Yellow = 6
Blue-Red = 6

(for the un-modded bike (i.e. base settings) they are:
Green = 1
Yellow = 2
Red = 2
Blue-Green = 3
Blue-Yellow = 6
Blue-Red = 6

Just goes to show, you shouldn't go from memory - again sorry for the confusion.

Both are with Super UnLeaded Fuel (98 Octane?) and presumably around Sea Level. I haven't set mine up yet (told not to ride for a while by the doc as I have pneumonia), but we can only get 95 Octane, and we are around 1,800m above Sea Level. (I have Rumus Headers (no Cat), Remus Genesis Can, and have a K&N filter (that I haven't fitted yet).

It will be interesting to see what the lower octane fuel and the elevation above sea level do to the settings.

Thanks for info,set bike up using Wunderlichs settings ie Remus headers,Rev can and Blue filter.The problem is bike is fluffy betweeb 6000rpm and red line,not so with the baffel in,straight to max no problems.Having spent £1100 it would be nice to get the best out of her.Would she go even better if tweaked to run smoother at high revs with baffel removed.Spoke to a mate this morning and he thinks she might need more fuel but realy need to put her on a Dyno to find out.He recomends an outfit in Southampton,run by two brothers,does this ring a bell with any one?Wunderlichs settings would probably be fine if she had a standard air intake.:nenau Please don't stop the info comming if relevent to kit fitted.TVM:beerjug:

The beauty of this new generation Wonderlick (Techlusion) PC is that it is so easy to set - the previous one needed opening and setting with a voltmeter for accurate setting. So until you can get the bike dynoed why not play with the 'plug and play' system ... try dialing in an extra 'notch' or two of top end juice etc ... and then ride and see if the "fluff" has gone and your 'butt dyno' tells you it is better? (So far people in this thread have just repeated the settings from the instructions ... what are the settings of those that have had dyno runs????)

Thanks Big Dom,The trouble over here is the speed limit and very busy roads.Over in UK end of month,if I can't get it on a Dyno then will start having a play with settengs.(wife will have to hang on!)I'm then not away till Sept on Portugal trail riding tour. (BMW)Need it sweet for then! TVM:thumb2

Update.

Booked in at CW to have the trottles balanced on the 28th and then on to Exeter to Dynomap for a run on their Dyno.Check the fueling is ok,tweek if required and get Dyno graph.Will post results on my return for all to see,plus any alterations to power controller.(for a small fee ofcourse!):D

Had mine set up on a dyno - full Remus system, K&N, Power Controller. The recommended Wunderlich settings worked best. Please also note that you cannot 'iron out' the fuelling dip at 5k rpm with this device. I think you would need a Power Commander for that. The Wunderlich version is pretty crude according to the guys at BSD in Peterborough.

Thanks for that,flat spot not a problem.Mainly to check fueling and fluffyness from 6000rpm to red line.

I've now had chance to run mine a couple of times with the Power Controller on the recommended 'base settings' (Remus Headers and Remus Genesis (open) can - but at 1,800m altitude or so) and it seems to make quite a difference.

There is now a definite 'surge' in power around 5,000 rpm (where as on the standard bike there is a 'dip') and it seems stronger from there to the red-line. I'm not sure whether I'm imagining it, but it does seem a little more 'jerky' at low speed with small throttle openings (possibly better throttle response that I'm not used to).

The next addition is the K&N filter to see if that makes a difference.

Subjectively, the Power Controller does make a significant improvement (as I said above, I'm 'at altitude' here, so it likely runs richer than at sea level anyway).

Can't say that it did but, as someone said, it 'ballances' the intake side and the exhaust side and it is the whole package that 'makes the difference'.

I still need to get it on a dyno and see the difference between mine and a standard 1200 (at this altitude).
