spot /fog ights

just fitted 2 50w halogen spots to my 02 650 mounted straight onto front fender using original screws. looks ace sidelights and mainspots in one indipendant power to both. total cost..............£10 from Halfords complete with wiring loom. about an hour to fit

Ah i didn't realize you needed H4. i think your right i don't think he does a H4 as he hasn't found a reliable one yet??? only way to find out is to ask.

Hi there Gingerdj
Have you got any pics of your spots fitted, would like to see which ones you used:nenau
Many thanks
Silver

No pics yet. sorry. my sister has borrowed my camera for her hols i will try and get some ASAP.
The lights are from Halfords they are made by RING and are the LED Cruise-lite,
product number BRL0372. like I said pics ASAP

Jinx is right ... I have tried 3 different types of HID H4s, and am not overjoyed with any of them.

Also at this point, there are no H4s in a 50 watt fitment.

I have a couple of new H4s on the way, which I will be testing for a month or so after they arrive ... and I am more optimistic about these ones that maybe, just maybe we can get some working reliable solutions on the H4 HID front.

AT LAST

As promissed pics of lights

The full kit is from halfords. cost me £10!!! but normally about £25, still a bargain. comes with lights wiring loom and switch. about an hour to fit. looks fantastic at night and they are road legal. Product is Ring LED Cruise-lite code number BRL0372
The red switch is main power, S is the single LED side light and F is full light. I don't have them wired eith my main headlight so can turn em on and off when i choose.

Let us know how you get on sue. even if they have gone up a bit in price they will always be cheaper than £106 each from BMW!!!!

According to the FOUR Halfords i've been in they are discontinued. I did manage to find a BRL0374 (Deluxe LED Cruise Light) in the last one I visited in Derby. Very much the same thing with the switch, relay and wiring loom, for a tenner.

This is what I got....

and this is the deluxe difference is 2 x single LED sidelights instead of one
try putting the code into google on an image search

Our Halfords had 3 different cruise lights in stock and we picked up a rectangle set, Graham made up some stainless brackets and they look really good. Now just need a water proof switch and they will be working. sue
