I am going to buck the trend again.
Cannon collected my 04 GS1200 on Saturday for a service. They called later in the day to tell me that they had found the gearbox to be leaking. This would need an overhaul and probably cost in excess of £200. Lee at Cannon told me that because the bike has a low mileage (15,000) he was going to ask BMW for a contribution.
Result! Lee called this morning - BMW contributed 100% of the cost of replacement parts and 50% of the labour costs.
Not too happy about the leaking gearbox but very pleased with the end result.
