Performance chips

These are usually a waste of money and do not do a proper remap.

The chip changes the voltage from the Lambda sensor to let the ECU think it is running too weak or is in start mode. Consequently the ecu tells the injectors to send more fuel to the engine.

Do not expect anything worthwhile for nothing.

My car is a Proton Satria GTI.There is a similar owners forum to this GS one.
A similar product is available for them also from Ebay and when the question is asked on that forum it appears that the item does not really work and in some cases has caused damage.I have not tried one myself just passing on info.Regards .........

tried an tested, 15 hp,rubbish,.......it made a slight improvement wi a remus on, i mean slight,,,,,,,did on my mates too but his wouldnt run as good when it was cold, he took it off,i did mine wen i put old box back on

I smell Shyte.

Absolute keich.! I dont understand how these people dont get strung up by their nads.

Anything that tells the ecu that the mixture is too weak, will cause it to richen the mixture. Obviously the :tosser would like you to think.....more fuel equals more power. Bollox. By just throwing in extra fuel doesnt cut it and in fact, can easily cause power LOSS. Furthermore, the management system could see that the HO2 sensor aint switching correctly, and flag that up with the mil light.

15bhp for £20. But wait, thats not all folks..... coz you could also order one if his TWIST-AIR PERFORMANCE COLD AIR INTAKE SPIRAL and a set of NO ELECTRODE Y RACING SPARK PLUGS. Then collectively, for about £120, you could have an extra 35BHP :eek and save 25% on your fuel bills to boot. :loopy PIGS MIGHT FLY.

Erm........ was there a smilie for Bulls*it :augie

Thanks all thats saved me a few quid and a possible damaged engine.
