...or just a shandy....?

Briefly .... and I know this isn't the most original:

Newcastle-ish types meet at THAT layby at the start of the A69.
Otherwise meet Hartside Cafe to leave at 10:30 to do Kirkstone, Hardknott, Wrynose and squiggle across west to Devil's Bridge, Kirkby Lonsdale and thence north-ish for a pint of the finest Old Peculier at the Tan Hill Inn, east a couple of mile to pick up and unsurfaced road toward Sleightholme(?), which will bring us close to the A66 where the various departments can pick their own way home or follow me up through "Barny" and "Bishop" back towards the A1 north...

It'll be a bimble, rather than a thrash .... maybe with the odd "Mad 5 minutes"

Here's a thingy for sat-nav (Garmin) type bods:

ye 10.30 never been off tarmac on this big lump of a gsa

It's just a bit of a bumpy road really... couple of miles.. and a gate...remind me to stop for pictures beside the Penine Way sign...

If you're in the area another time, this is the way I get to Hawes from Devils Bridge, very few cars, GS type roads, open spaces and good views especially from the Old Coal Road viapoint area.
