HP2 supermoto wheels

Hi, picked up a HP2 on the weekend.
It only has the enduro wheels and I want to get my hands on some sm wheels.
Can anyone offer any help?

I have asked my local BMW already and they want about a grand with tyres.

Is there any other alternative?

This thing is awesome already, cant wait to see what it is like with the sm wheels!

if your lucky they come up here from time to time, anything for 500-1000 if never been really used. Saw a few bits on ebay some time ago, but it all got hoovered up quickly.

There's also the breakers again a few HP's have ended up in bits for various reasons, but they seem to still be holding their value as bits....

Taking the HP2 out to get dirty on the 10th May with the guys from South London BMW.
They have just started monthly rides in Surrey near Boxhill.
 
I'm out towards weybridge direction however my HP is a million bits still :blast long story. Would love to tag along if my mine's back by then I still have no idea.

I know the area as I lived in WOT for a while.

Let me know nearer the time if it looks like you will get your sauce back together in time.
There is 1 other HP2 that I know of going and sounds like a good time to be had.
 
have a good run out, I've just looked I'm working on the 10th May to pay for my trip to outer mongolia on my HP in the summer.

green laning and HP is okay as long as it's dry if it's wet, well lets say I spent more time in the ditch than on the track.

Get a used set of 1200 gs or 1200 adv rim's I like the 19' front better for the street.

If you hang about and keep your eyes open you will find a set sooner or later. Some of these bikes were sold with both sets of wheels. I got a set hardly used from another member of this community for £600 recently and can confirm they are awesome on road.

The offroad wheels is stored safely for those play days :D
 
Fantastic, thanks mav. I see your name come up quite a bit on threads and appreciate you taking the time to respond. I am currently in the race for a front (19" gs adv) on flea bay and if successful half way there! The knobblies..........well shall I say are a bit on the risky side for me on commute to work. As soon as I see a sports bike I have to have him! Even an RC8 had a go a few days ago........I let him go.......well after 3rd anyway....

Any suggestions for a disc?
Any suggestions for tyres?

What you need with your SM wheels is a suspension upgrade - which as it happens I may just have for sale..... ;-)
 
Hi, thanks but had some bad news today and looks like the HP may be up for sale in the next few months, unless I can find a way of exporting it to Australia.

Good luck with the MM, the guys at Vines tried to get me on it.
I believe it is the original press bike but I might be wrong.
 
Which part of Australia are you going to, it is possible to bring them in, it means you will have to break it down a bit. I know of two people here that have done it.

I met Gum a few weeks ago on the GS safari, he brought his in from the States and re-built it. There is another one in Melbourne ( i think ) and he also posts on the adv site, i will try to find his name for you. I am not up to speed on the mechanics of how it is done, and each state has different rules but i know it can be done. Try posting a new thread on Adv asking for advice in the ozzie forum. Think the HP2 in Melbourne you mentioned is karlz. I will try and get in touch with him soon as I am sure I read he imported his HP2 from the UK.
