Weather is supposed to be good on Sunday (8th June) in this area

Anyone fancy meeting up and going for a ride?

Suggest meeting at Texaco/Somerfield petrol station on the A4 at Hungerford at 10:30pm. We'll then take a gentle bimble through the local roads and lanes - this will be all ON ROAD so you don't need TKC80s, and if your non-GS riding buddies want to come along - they're welcome.

Meeting place postcode is RG17 0EP, so stick that into Google maps to find it.

Please be ready to depart at 10:30 - full tanks and empty bladders.

Bring a packed lunch and we'll stop somewhere nice for lunch - perhaps Wilton Windmill, or somewhere by the Kennet & Avon canal (hello Shep!) or wherever we happen to be that looks nice.

Anyone from Southeast, Southwest, or indeed any other region most welcome to join.

If anyone wants to talk to me beforehand, please PM me.

Cheers - Philip - 6X/7X

For your proposed ride on the 8th June I could suggest a better title than the one you've chose for this thread :augie

And maybe an earlier start

Thanks for the heads up - also - want to give people the chance to get there.

NOT 10:30pm - supposed to be 10:30am - my apologies - yeah ok - take the pi$$ - I can take it !!!!!! :spank

How far do you expect to get on this 'ere bimble, and what sort of hour will you finish?

Dunno, hadn't really thought that far ahead........

I guess we'll be gone until, say, 3 or 4 o clock, when we'll arrive back at the start point, though people can leave whenever they like if they have to get back.

How far are we likely to go? maybe 100 to 150 miles, but probably no more than about 40 or 50 miles from our start point - we'll be meandering around some of the lanes.

:)Sounds good to me. I will have a word with her, the goddess of burnt food :bow:bow:bow and see if she will let me go out and play. I need to check the bike out as I am off to Italy next weekend :guitaristand have a new seat to try out. Anybody got bike to bike as I really need to check that as well.

Might be there until lunch-time or thereabouts.

The one bloody Sunday I may be able to get away from the laptop - and I'm in Liverpool. Great.

Hey ho - have a grand time. If you'd been passing Bampton and I'd been in, you'd have been welcome for a coffee or three.

Philip
