Went to scotland with 3 friends, Wilbr21, bluesweeper and alan13579. Now i have ridden bikes on 3 diferent continents and i have to say that scotland has roads and views to rival anywhere in the world!! as those who have been there will testify. We used a local to plan us a route for each day and they didnt disappoint, they were usually between 200 and 300 miles each day with a mixture of roads to satisfy all.We camped at fort augustus and used the weather forcast to decide what order to do the rides, here are a few photos that we took.
early morning views of the loche

Great Shots

David,
How homesick do I feel now?!:(
Great photos and you look like you all enjoyed yourselves.
I guess you'll be visiting again sometime, must warn you though, it's always so sunny and bright!!
And now to book some tickets back home.
Regards
Andy

Been there in June for the past 2 years and will be back again next year for more. Looks like you had some good weather and you got some good photos. The roads really are great but if you have not been there you really cant imagine what its like so go take a look for yourselves, dont stick to the main roads pick the back roads and go exploring.

Alan i think it was on the A87 loche cluanie or loch duich, as you know its dificult to marry views to place names sometimes i can email anyone the routes if they like

Dave's "My little Pikey" setup. Actually, we were very glad to have the caravan with us, it kept the Midges at bay and one night we split our sides watching some chav's spend two hours trying to put up a tent while being eaten alive by the midges. :D

looks like you had the weather too,
I was just up to durness for the sat night, via clencoe, ullapool, and overnight in the b+b you were ootside.
was a bit rainy on the way doon though, via altnaharra, braemar to edinburgh.
well worth it still.
bye for noo
capt.

Cracking pics there David. :clap

Hope the weather is as good up there this weekend. :)

Scotland really is incomparable. What a country.

Dave - you're such a gent for not expanding on the "rescue" portion of the trip up to the radio mast ....... still don't know how Roy did it with Road Attacks.

Roll-on our next trip ....... must get my radio fixed as it gave me interference all the way to Gretna - Alan's was fine ;)
