Well, we locked Chunk in the factory and didn't let him out until he'd made some. We now have in stock 10 locking toolbox covers which fit the R1150GS and R1100GS.
The toolbox covers are made from 3mm aluminium which has been powdercoated with a matt aluminium coloured powdercoat. The moveable plate is made from 2mm powdercoated aluminium.
We have designed them so that the moveable plate can be locked from underneath. If you're not using your rear seat, loosen the M5 nut, swing the plate round to cover the seat mounting hole to the seating lugs and do up the nut. Because the nut is under the toolbox cover, when it is in place it cannot be undone. And because the plate sits ontop of the toolbox cover water can't get in. If you have the rear seat on, just do the reverse and mount the seat.
