do the footpeg mounts on the 800GS look like the ones on the 1200GS? i'm looking to change the footpegs first thing when i get my 800 and with nothing to do but wonder, i'm obsessing on this now.

Can't answer your question, but as with most pegs you can remove the rubber anti-vibe bits for a better grip offroad. They are not as wide as the pegs on my 1200GSA but perfectly adequate for the moment.

I had a great w/e with ADVRider folk in Wales the last w/e and rode some exciting trails.
I did find the pegs a bit small at times as I did the footbrake. I am sure that a lot has to do with my inexperience but I wonder about an aftermarket fitment that would be wider, longer and grippier than standard.
I already have the folding TT gear lever (after bending the standard on a green lane) and it certainly paid for itself this w/e so I am conscious of the need for something that doesn't stick out a mile.

may not be of much help but i have just fitted some to mine and the packet was marked up for the 1200 definatly so if the the 12 is the same as the 1150 i would say yes, i will see if the packet is still there when i get home and check .

The box says "for R1100GS, R1150GS,and R1200GS/Adv"
So, if you've already successfully transferred a pair from an 1200 to a 800GS, can't see there should be a problem.
