Thought I'd post this a bit earlier this time. We are running another Cotswold trail ride suitable for GS's on Sunday 13th September (the August one is fully booked)

We have a number of options here - we can do trails from the off or start the day with a little introduction to off-road to build up skills and then move onto trails after about an hour playing.

OR

Start the ride out later and have an introduction first for people that want to try out off road and have a few pointers - then start out on the trails.

Let me know which options would be applicable and PM me if you are interested.

Burtie you hav'nt said if its free or one of your trailtours rideouts ???

For thoses of you who have not met Burtie ...I met him at this years Ryedale Rally and he's a top bloke with loads of experience ...Gave me some top tips so if your a newbie looking to learn to ride a bike offroad the right way he's the man :thumb2

Pipster, you are a top man - and the pic of your power slide is a classic.

This rideout in the Cotwolds is free and a half day trail ride that is suited for big traillies and GS's and we avoid mud and ruts ;-)

We have three bikes coming along and all the guys are going to do the practise / introduction session for a bit of confidence building before heading out on the trails.

If anyone else is looking to come along, please PM me asap.

Burt

Keep a wary eye out on the trails....there are about 30 japanese traillie thingys on a Nav rally in that area that weekend too.......:augie

OK will do.

Have you any idea of where they are going to be? We may try to meet up with them. May get a few converts to GS's ;-)

Kineton, Guiting, the run down from Condicote to the Slaughters and then across from the Kilkenny .... all the easy stuff.
The bottom of the route runs further South on the Fosse and through Daglingworth
Not sure about converting any of them though.... they are too strapped for cash to keep buying final drives and bearings etc.......:comfort

Hey guys. Definitely interested. I have limited off-road experience but am very keen to get down and dirty...on the bike that is! I have an R12 with road tyres on at the moment but I have a shinny new pair of knobblies ready to go :thumb2

i will do october with you guys on my hp rally bike ,as long as its not to close to the hafren . We could do with a good entry for that rally so all of you put away the book of excuses and ride the bloody thing TALK IS CHEAP

Hi

spotted this thread last night and it looks like it is already full But I would be interested in coming along for the October one or do you do training runs outside of these tasters? I have an 800 gs with newly fitted TKCs and Adventure Crash bars but a limited offroad on experience of the Ridgway (3 times) and Salisbury Plain (once) so really only gravel tracks. I live between Newbury and Reading so can easily take in the Cotswolds.

Anyone else interested in a ride out exploring some green lanes in this area let me know and we can all get lost together!

Johnboy,
I'll put your name down for October as that is filling up fast as well. We are actually planning on running a full days training which wil be more comprehensive than the hours introduction and wil then continue as training as we ride some lanes which allows us to stop and talk through various scenarios and have multiple attempts at running through sections whilst we observe.

We will work some dates out for this and let you know.

regards

Burt
