Anyone interested in riding a few trails on Sunday?

Relaxed pace - open to all comers.

Post up here if you're interested.

I may be interested, would be on an x challenge, any ideas where you would be meeting and what time?, i would be trailering my bike so would need to know if there is any safe parking at the start.:thumb2

We'd probably start at SBW in Hertford - so no problems with a trailer.

09.30-ish?

Greg

Not sure if I can make it yet, but just in case...... Is this suitable for a 1200GSA or will I be picking it out of deep mud all day ?

Thanks

I haven't reccied the route but if you have TKCs you'd probably be OK.

Greg

Confirmed: Meet at SBW at 09.30hrs Sunday morning.

Stephen Crowder (Dealer Principal) has kindly agreed to open the showroom for pre-ride coffees and Paul will be bringing the SBW demo G450X on the ride.

Thanks Greg, :thumb2

I've got the TKCs so no problem there.
what is the going likely to be ? mostly grass, mud, gravel, sand, or rock ?

BTW, if I'm not there by 9:30 then I'm not coming so don't wait.

Cheers

Dave

Just thinking through the route, there will be:

  • a couple of fords
  • farm tracks - some of the potholes and ruts will be full of water!!
  • a little grass
  • inevitably some mud (given the recent weather)

I can't think of any sandy sections nor full-on rock.

Pre - Ride Coffees...Your trips around Hertfordshire are so much posher than mine.

I hope you've told them the rules if your on 450 or under you have to ride down into the Old Bourne. Some pics and video from last weekend in the Old Bourne http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525261

The trails are in good condition and OK for a bike bike with TKC's... Watch some of the water on the track beside the Old Bourne last weekend at speed it took both my feet of the pegs, luckly I was able to break my fall with my nuts!

It looks like we get a dry-ish weather window in Hertfordshire tomorrow - possibly just a light shower.

That should keep the trail-dust down.

The runners and riders appear to be:

  • ONYERBIKE
  • Mike
  • Paul
  • Ferret
  • Nick(?)
  • tonkatoy

Any more?
