Thought I'd post my experience of this combo at the weekend.
I have an SRC which I use with my Zumo 660 which in turn is connected to my iPhone. Last weekend I took the other half down to the Eastbourne airshow as a small warm-up ride for our impending France trip.
The Scala G4 was fitted to my wife's Shoei XR-800 and we paired it on channel B to the SRC before we set off. The M.O. was that my SRC was normally connected to the Zumo but if either of us wanted to chat then we pressed our B button (turned VOX off for simplicity) to start the helmet to helmet connection
I didn't think that we would chat so much as we rode along but we ended up just leaving the B channel on all the time. Voices were crystal clear and background noise was only evident when there was a strong gust of side wind.
All in all I'm over the moon with the sound quality of these units (the SRC and the G4 are really the same things) and although more expensive than wired systems, I've had both Autocom and Starcom in the past but neither has ever been as easy to use and install as this.
On a comical note, when the second of the two helmets powers up, a voice message is heard in the first helmet announcing "Rider B connected". In my childish head I hear it in a thick Jamaican accent
